1970 Hot Wheels

In 1970 Mattel introduced a line of HotWheels^tm they called THE SPOILERS^tm. The die-cast cars were marketed as "Souped Up Super Rods" and featured; front and rear airfoils, blown engines, super slicks, racing stripes and emblems.

THE SPOILERS^tm line included (8) different models, each a souped up version of a real car. Most were models of Ford, GM and Mopar American Muscle Cars.. the one exception was a tricked out VW Bug!
